Hyderabad, India – Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday night at the culmination of the prestigious international pageant held in Hyderabad, India. Chuangsri captivated judges and audiences alike with her grace, intelligence, and poise, securing the coveted title amongst a diverse group of 108 contestants from around the globe.

The glittering ceremony, hosted by Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, saw Chuangsri receive the crown from reigning Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszková. The first runner-up in the competition was Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia, showcasing the exceptional talent present throughout the competition.

The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant returned to India, marking the second consecutive year the country has played host to this celebrated event. While India’s own representative, Nandini Gupta, impressed by reaching the final 20, she ultimately did not proceed further.

Chuangsri’s victory marks a momentous occasion for Thailand, adding her name to the illustrious list of Miss World winners. She now steps into a role of global ambassadorship, dedicated to using her platform to champion important causes and inspire positive change.

India boasts a rich history within the Miss World competition, having previously seen six of its own women claim the crown: Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).

The success of the Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad further cements India’s position as a prominent hub for international beauty and cultural events. The event not only celebrated beauty but also fostered a spirit of global unity and understanding.
