NAIROBI, KENYA – The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced a recruitment drive for high-level roles, inviting applications for commissioner and deputy commissioner positions across key departments. The announcement, made on June 17, 2025, by PKF on behalf of KRA, provides a unique opportunity for professionals to join the country’s tax administration agency.

The 15 advertised positions span strategic areas including customs services, domestic taxes, digital transformation, intelligence and risk management, among others. KRA emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge at all stages and warned against fraudsters.

Interested candidates are requested to visit PKF website at https://www.pkfea.com/careers for full job descriptions and specifications and submit online applications by 7 July, 2025, 23:59hrs. To apply, applicants must present several clearance documents, including a valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), clearance certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and a valid KRA tax compliance certificate.

Successful candidates will undergo thorough background checks, including criminal and credit history verification. Any inconsistencies may lead to immediate disqualification.

  2. Commissioner – shared services: KRA/KRCP/02/2025
  3. Commissioner – business strategy and transformation: KRA/KRCP/03/2025
  4. Commissioner – intelligence and risk management: KRA/KRCP/04/2025
  5. Deputy commissioner – customs services: KRA/KRCP/05/2025
  6. Deputy commissioner – shared services: KRA/KRCP/06/2025
  7. Deputy commissioner – digital transformation: KRA/KRCP/07/2025
  8. Deputy commissioner – intelligence and risk management: KRA/KRCP/08/2025
  9. Deputy commissioner – domestic taxes: KRA/KRCP/09/2025
  10. Deputy commissioner – audit and risk management: KRA/KRCP/10/2025
  11. Deputy commissioner – supply chain management: KRA/KRCP/11/2025
  12. Deputy commissioner – information security: KRA/KRCP/12/2025
  13. Deputy commissioner – international tax: KRA/KRCP/13/2025
  14. Deputy commissioner – strategy and performance management: KRA/KRCP/14/2025
  15. Deputy commissioner – enforcement and small taxpayers: KRA/KRCP/15/2025

In other news, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised over 800 job vacancies. The vacancies include roles in critical sectors such as health, education, agriculture, correctional services, and land administration, with the bulk of the positions distributed across departments in the Ministry of Interior. PSC cautioned Kenyans against fraudsters promising job placements in exchange for payments.
