In Jordan, the position of the people aligns with the Hashemite leadership in rejecting the idea of displacing Palestinians from their land. This rejection, which King Abdullah II has expressed on many occasions, resonates widely in the hearts of Jordanians, who consider the Palestinian issue an integral part of their identity.

The Jordanian people and the leadership: a unified position
Jordanians believe that the displacement of Palestinians constitutes an existential threat to the Palestinian cause, as it aims to liquidate the national identity of the Palestinians and end their right to return to their homes. Therefore, the Jordanian people believe that their position rejecting displacement is a national position aimed at protecting the comprehensive Jordanian identity, which consists of a mosaic of different origins, of which the Palestinians form an integral part.

Jordan: a safe haven for Palestinians

Throughout history, Jordan has been and still is a safe haven for Palestinians, where the Jordanian and Palestinian people have shared many historical experiences and pivotal events. This shared history makes rejecting the displacement of Palestinians a duty for every Jordanian, as it is part of the historical responsibility that Jordan bears towards the Palestinian issue.

The dangers of displacement to Jordan’s national security
Jordanians believe that any attempt to displace Palestinians from their land will have serious repercussions for Jordan’s national security. Such a move will lead to destabilization in the region and increase regional tensions. Therefore, the Jordanian people believe that rejecting displacement is protective of Jordan’s security and stability.

Absolute support for the position of King Abdullah II
The position of King Abdullah II, which rejects displacement, enjoys absolute support from the Jordanian people, who see this position as an embodiment of their national will. Jordanians consider rallying around the king’s position an expression of their national unity and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Jordanian people’s rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land is a firm and unwavering position, stemming from a deep belief in the justice of the Palestinian cause and Jordan’s historical responsibility towards the Palestinian people. This position, which enjoys absolute support from the Hashemite leadership, constitutes a safety valve for the stability of the region and supports the right of Palestinians to return to their homes and establish their independent state.
